Welcome to The Missildine Home
Rewind- Well, here is a vid and some pics of our new home (To get the full effect, watch the “before” vid first, then the “after” vid). We spent two and a half months renovating it, taking it down to the studs in certain rooms. More pics soon! We’ve done seven renovations now and over a hundred new homes in the last 7 years.
My wife and I have moved 8 times in 8 years (Here are 88 Reasons) & it’s time to settle down! I love my church, my family & my calling in life. If you are interested in seeing the progression of our recent home renovation, here is Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4, Week 5, Week 6 & Week 7.
Here was the first video I posted back in the spring of 2010:
Here is a walk through video of the “almost” final product. Check it:

LOVE what you’ve done with the house! You did a great job, in just a few months time. Really like the new archways! They sure fit the style! Grreeeeeaaaaatttt job!
Mel, thanks for the comment and for the referral! We dig the archways too! Scott, soooo nice to meet you and your fam. Love to visit you guys up there some time too!
You guys did a great job. We enjoyed visiting LIfeChurch FTW. Look forward to visiting again.
The kitchen transformation is amazing! And Macy’s decorating skillz are as good as ever. Love it! Thanks for sharing!
Excellent Excellent Excellent! Really love the formal dining; it appeals to me massively. Great job on revamping the moldy bathroom, too. And the archways really snazz it up big time.
When the water heater goes (and that is a monster one you have there), you might consider getting a tankless water heater. A little more expensive, but cheaper to operate, and you pretty much have hot water on demand. And you get so much of your room back.
One day, we’ll figure out how to have lights over a shower safely, because that is one dark spot in just about any house. Or maybe that’s just me.
Great job! Love it!
Thanks for the compliments and tips Jack!
Wow what a renovation! Looks classy! Thats about the smallest pantry I’ve ever seen! I laughed out loud when I you showed that. Now for the outside? You gonna post pics of yard crashing?
dude, the place looks awesome.
I would love to find a place like that with wood floors and an awesome fireplace.
Thanks bro, it was a lot of work but worth it!
Love the color choices! Kitchen turned out great! The two arches really open it up- Great Idea! My wife and I love old homes and did the same gutting and renovating of a 100 year old home when we had just one four year old. Great memories in that house and we are looking forward to doing it again some day. Nice job on the bathrooms as well. That old white subway tile looks cool. Thanks for sharing the video.
