New.
By Chad
New.
New shoes, new car smell, new years. Everyone likes new.
New babies, new potatoes. New is good.
New is necessary. And refreshing.
New is needed.
The past is past. The old is gone. You are ready for the new.
New.
In what way are you becoming new right now in your life? My family has some BIG new changes taking place right now. I’ll tell you about them later this week!

I’m trying to get a NEW habit established. Specifically, I’m getting up to write for an hour every morning. Fighting with the alarm clock, etc. is the struggle, but I want to be a better writer more than I want the extra sleep, so I’m winning so far.
Looking forward to hearing about the new change at your place!
Leighton, thanks for the note. Let me know how the new change goes!
New focus. New intent.
My word for the year in ‘intentional.’ Not in the ‘striving to make life happen’ way, but being intentional about being creative, making time for the things I love, the people I love.
So easy to fall in that trap of letting life just happen to you rather that you happening to life.
Andrew, thank you so much for the comment. “Intentional”- love it!
